Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years as a manufacturing production supervisor preferably in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Customer focused.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross functional team environment.

Responsibilities

• Implements and enforces safety and good housekeeping standards by utilizing 1+5s principles.
• Leads and supports the company’s Quality Management System
• Maintains First5 boards and conducts First5 meetings
• Trains, develops and evaluates employees
• Directs and coordinates the activities of employees engaged in production
• Maintains operating expenses by reducing labor and improving production yields
• Reads and analyzes charts, work orders, production schedules and other reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production
• Maintains and approves employee time records
• Coordinates operations and activities within or between departments / cells
• Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments and production sequences to meet production goals
• Inspects materials, products and production equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
• Resolves employee problems and complaints
• Meets deadlines
• Directs and supports continuous improvement through the use of lean and 6 sigma methodologies
