Job summary

Apex Tool Group, LLC is seeking a 3rd shift Laser Operator for our Jonesboro, AR facility. Position runs 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM with a $1.00 per hour shift premium.

Candidates should have 1–3 years of machining experience and strong measurement skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years related experience; minimum 1 year.
• Demonstrated mechanical ability.
• Knowledge of tooling and tooling maintenance.
• Proven ability to use calipers and measurement tools to 1/32".
• Able to read blueprints and interpret measurements.
• Good computer skills.
• Overtime hours including Saturdays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate laser cutting machines to support production.
• Set up and changeover machines, load and edit programs, and set machine parameters.
• Install and align tooling, dies, fixtures, and gauges as required.
• Troubleshoot equipment and identify problems with tooling and machine adjustments.
• Maintain quality standards, inspecting the product and adjusting machinings as needed.
• Check product visually with fixed gauges and prints, including first piece inspections.
• Determine the cause of operating difficulties and take corrective action.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment when required.
• Move materials within the work area.
• Adhere to safety rules and report non-conforming materials.
• Maintain accurate records and perform other duties as assigned.
