Job summary
Pratt & Whitney in Jupiter, FL is seeking an Assembly and Test Mechanic for a 3rd shift (Sun–Thu, midnight–7:00am) with 6.5 hours paid as 8 hours. Work from procedures, drawings and work instructions to assemble and test jet engine components, using a wide range of power tools.
You will train up to two colleagues and must complete proper sign‑offs and documentation. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with 1+ year power-plant mechanics or automotive experience, plus the ability
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 1+ years formal training in power-plant mechanics and testing or automotive training/experience.
- Ability to read procedures and engineering drawings and follow work instructions.
Responsibilities
- Follow procedures, sketches, layouts and drawings to assemble or test jet engine components.
- Assemble, modify and inspect jet engine assemblies, APUs and test stands.
- Operate tools and instrumentation to support engine tests and measurements.
- Assist training of teammates to ensure safe operation.
- Complete documentation and sign-off for assembly or test procedures.
