Position: Inspection Operator

Location: Waukesha, WI 53189

Hours: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift (Monday - Friday). 13% shift premium included for 3rd shift.
3rd Shift Hours: 10:00pm - 6:30am or 11:00pm - 7:30am
1st Shift Hours: 6:00am - 6:00pm, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday; and 6:00am - 12:00pm Wednesday.

Wage: Starting at $20 per hour (plus experience-based adjustments)

Job Description:

The Inspection Operator verifies that products meet customer requirements, identifies nonconformities, communicates & documents issues, and maintains compliance with our Quality Management System. Collaboration with production team members is expected.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Follow schedules & process work to exceed customer expectations
2. Utilize hot list & priority list for products
3. Perform daily walk-through with prior shift for verification of testing instruments
4. Operate all equipment within the Inspection Department safely and efficiently
5. Learn proper testing locations based on work instructions or part configuration
6. Assist in developing inspection techniques as required
7. Count & identify parts prior to inspection for order verification
8. Understand proper packaging of parts, including wrapping, shrink wrapping, banding, double boxing, and tagging
9. Maintain verification test blocks & communicate with Equipment Quality for replacements
10. Perform basic maintenance & adjustments on inspection equipment
11. Assist with production when needed
12. Understand tagging & transfer procedures and processing of materials
13. Ensure plant organization & cleanliness

Qualifications & Requirements:

• All hires are contingent upon a 9-panel hair follicle drug test & background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Acquire/maintain forklift certification
• 2+ years of prior factory work preferred
• Knowledge of plant equipment & procedures
• Basic computer skills & math knowledge
• English reading proficiency
• Safety-focused mindset
• Excellent communication, time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Adaptability, self-motivation, and willingness to learn

Physical Requirements:

• Proficient physical shape, able to lift 25 lbs regularly
