Position: Inspection Operator

Location: Waukesha, WI 53189

Hours: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift (Monday - Friday)

13% shift premium included for 3rd shift

Shift Hours: 3rd Shift: 10:00pm - 6:30am or 11:00pm - 7:30am; 1st Shift: 6:00am - 6:00pm, S, M, Tues; 6:00am - 12:00pm W

Wage: Starting at $20 per hour (plus based on experience)

Job Description:

The Inspection Operator is responsible for verifying products meet customer requirements, identifying nonconformities, communicating & documenting issues, and maintaining compliance with our Quality Management System. Collaboration with production team members is expected as needed.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Follow schedules & process work to exceed customer expectations
2. Utilize hot list & priority list for products
3. Perform daily walk-through with prior shift for verification of testing instruments
4. Operate all equipment within the Inspection Department safely and efficiently
5. Learn proper testing locations based on work instructions or part configuration
6. Assist in developing inspection techniques as required
7. Count & identify parts prior to inspection for verification of specific orders
8. Understand proper packaging of parts, including wrapping, shrink wrapping, banding, double boxing, and tagging
9. Maintain verification test blocks & communicate with Equipment Quality for replacements
10. Perform basic maintenance & adjustments on inspection equipment
11. Assist with production when needed
12. Understand tagging & transfer procedures
13. Understand processing of all materials within production areas
14. Ensure plant organization & cleanliness

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. All hires are contingent upon a 9-panel hair follicle drug test & background check
2. High school diploma or equivalent preferred
3. Acquire/maintain forklift certification
4. 2+ years of prior factory work preferred
5. Knowledge of plant equipment & procedures
6. Basic computer skills
7. Basic math proficiency
8. English reading proficiency
9. Safety-focused mindset
10. Excellent written & verbal communication skills
11. Excellent time management
