Job summary

Micron Products in Fitchburg, MA seeks a 3rd Shift Injection Molding Lead to work hands-on with plastic injection molding operators, train staff, and coordinate shift priorities. You will lead daily molding activities while maintaining quality, documentation, and process improvements.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of hands-on injection molding experience, strong communication, and the ability to train others. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring shift coverage 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on plastic injection molding experience.
• Experience operating plastic injection molding machines in a production environment.
• Ability to recognize molding process issues and escalate as needed.
• Strong communication, reliability and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to train and mentor other operators.
• Ability to work 3rd shift, Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.
• Direct plastic injection molding experience required; general machine operation alone does not meet requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work hands-on alongside Plastic Injection Molding Operators.
• Coordinate employees, machines, and production priorities throughout the shift.
• Provide day-to-day direction and support to molding and assembly employees.
• Train and mentor new and existing operators.
• Monitor production, quality, scrap, and downtime.
• Identify common injection molding defects and production issues.
• Help troubleshoot production issues and escalate technical or processing problems when appropriate.
• Ensure inspections and required production documentation are completed accurately.
• Communicate production status, issues, and priorities during shift handoffs.
• Support quality standards and established manufacturing procedures.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized production environment.

If you have strong hands-on injection molding experience and are ready to take on more responsibility, train others, and help keep the shift running smoothly, this could be a great next step.This is a **hands-on working lead position**.
