Micron Solutions in Fitchburg, MA is seeking an Injection Molding Process Technician for 3rd shift. The role involves setting up and troubleshooting injection molding machines, performing mold changes, and maintaining process stability to keep production running safely and efficiently.

You will work with robotics and automated equipment, respond to alarms, and help identify efficiency improvements. A strong hands-on background in injection molding is required, with opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Hands-on injection molding processing experience required.
• Proficient at setting up and troubleshooting injection molding machines.
• Experience performing mold changes and machine setups.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to respond to production issues independently.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start, and troubleshoot injection molding machines.
• Perform mold and job changeovers.
• Set up and troubleshoot auxiliary equipment.
• Respond to machine alarms and processing issues.
• Make process adjustments within established parameters.
• Monitor cycle times, machine performance, and process stability.
• Troubleshoot robotics and automation issues.
• Complete production and process documentation.
• Identify opportunities to reduce scrap and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality to resolve issues.

Join Our Manufacturing Team

Micron Solutions is looking for an experienced Injection Molding Process Technician to join our team in Fitchburg, MA.

In this hands‑on role, you'll set up and troubleshoot injection molding machines, perform mold changes, monitor processes, and keep production running safely and efficiently. You'll also have the opportunity to work with robotics and automated manufacturing equipment.

What You'll Do

• Set up, start, and troubleshoot injection molding machines
• Perform mold and job changeovers

• Make process adjustments within established parameters

• Troubleshoot basic robotics and automation issues
• Complete required production and process documentation
• Identify opportunities to reduce scrap and improve efficiency
• Work with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality to resolve manufacturing issues
• Follow established safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

What We're Looking For

Required

• High school diploma or GED
• Hands‑on injection molding processing experience
• Experience setting up and troubleshooting injection molding machines
• Experience performing mold changes and machine setups
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and respond to production issues

Preferred, But Not Required

• 3+ years of injection molding experience
• Experience with robotics, automation, or auxiliary equipment
• Experience in medical device or other regulated manufacturing
• Scientific molding or process troubleshooting experience
• RJG/Master Molder or other plastics processing training
• Experience with IQMS/DELMIAWorks or another manufacturing ERP system
