Job summary

Quanex is seeking a High-Reach Forklift Operator for the Statesville, NC facility on the 3rd shift. The role involves receiving, storing, picking, and distributing materials, with a schedule of Monday-Friday, 10:00 pm to 6:30 am.

The hourly rate ranges from $19.75 to $22.50 plus a $1.50 shift premium for 3rd shift. We offer competitive salary and bonus potential, 401K with 5% company match, ESPP, comprehensive health plans, disability and life insurance, PTO and holidays, tuition support, and

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 1 year warehouse experience.
High reach forklift experience required.
Experience with WMS is desired.
Experience with barcode readers and system postings.
Experience in extrusion or process manufacturing is a plus.
High School or GED.

Responsibilities

Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Transports materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, or other stock items and distributes items to production areas.
Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets.
Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
Certified to drive material handling equipment. (High Reach forklift expertise a must)
Transports stored items within the warehouse.
