Job summary

Dover Food Retail seeks a Material Handler II for the 3rd shift at our South Chesterfield, VA facility. You will load and unload materials, operate a forklift, and move items through ERP-driven workflows to keep production and shipping on schedule.

Key tasks include receiving, routing, packing, and dispatching materials, plus cycle counts and inventory support. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and the ability to handle heavy cases repeatedly, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years forklift experience.
• 2+ years experience pulling orders in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Reads sales order, follows instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Receives incoming materials, unpacks, routes shipments, records shortages, and coordinates with shipper or supplier.
• Arranges timely pickup by carrier and prepares outbound paperwork.
• Orders material from warehouse via ERP system for production lines.
• Loads/unloads materials from pallets, racks, and vehicles; operates forklift.
• Prepares crating, banding, padding for movement as needed.
• Conveys materials from storage to designated areas using forklift.
• Attaches labels or marks information on materials and delivers paperwork to data entry.
• Stacks or bundles materials; assists with cycle counts and inventory.
• Other duties may be assigned.
