Job summary

Urban Farmer is seeking a Forklift Driver in Manteno, IL to move goods, load pallets, and operate equipment safely. You will perform warehouse duties such as packaging shipments and inventory checks in a food-manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, transporting materials, and ensuring loads meet safety and production schedules. Compliance with GMP, food safety, and safety policies is required, with ongoing duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old to work in food manufacturing.
• Ability to follow work instructions and shipping policies.
• Must pass certification from Urban Farmer.
• Good hand/eye coordination and motor skills to operate machinery

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, ship, and receive warehouse items.
• Transport materials within the facility.
• Optimize loads for operational efficiency.
• Secure loads to the machine before transportation.
• Accurately filling out shift paperwork.
• Adhere to production schedules.
• Inspect vehicles for damages.
• Schedule vehicles for maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure safety rules, OSHA requirements and company policies are followed.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
• All staff are responsible for GMP, Food Safety and Plant Safety rules in the processing facility.

JOBSUMMARY:

ForkliftDriverisresponsibleformovinggoods,loadedpalletsandequipmentsafelyandsecurely.Inadditiontodriving forklifts, a Forklift Driver also has a range of other warehouse duties such as packaging shipments or checking inventories.

QUALIFICATIONREQUIREMENTS:

Qualifiedindividualsmustbe atleast18yearsoldtoworkinthefoodmanufacturingenvironment.Abilitytofollowwork instruction and keep pace of shipping department is required.Individual must have thorough understanding of shipping policies and procedures. Effective communication skills are needed to support forklift team.This position requires incumbenttohavekeenattentiontodetailandexperienceworkinginateam-oriented,collaborativeenvironment.Individual will need to pass certification from Urban Farmer. The individual must be able to perform each essential job duty and responsibility satisfactorily.Individual must have good hand/eye coordination and excellent motor skills to operate necessary machinery safely.
