Warehouse Transporter – Food Production Facility

Niles, IL | $22.00/hr | Full-Time | 3rd Shift

We are seeking dedicated and safety-conscious individuals to join our team as Forklift Operators in a food manufacturing setting. This role offers consistent, full-time hours, a reliable weekly paycheck, and a collaborative atmosphere for those with prior forklift expertise.

Compensation:

$22.00 per hour

Work Schedule:

3rd Shift

Core Responsibilities:

• Utilize forklifts and industrial machinery with a focus on operational safety
• Manage the movement, stacking, and staging of goods across production and storage zones to optimize workflow
• Execute order picking and preparation tasks to guarantee shipment precision
• Execute receiving, storage, and inventory tasks via RF scanning technology and digital warehouse platforms
• Help maintain precise stock levels by conducting regular cycle counts and inventory validation
• Facilitate production continuity by delivering necessary materials and relocating pallets
• Complete routine equipment inspections and daily safety checks on forklifts
• Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments while documenting any signs of damage
• Contribute to a secure and orderly workspace by strictly adhering to GMP, OSHA, and food safety protocols
• Handle various other warehouse tasks as directed by management

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of high school or equivalent education
• Prior experience operating a forklift
• Background in food production or general warehousing is a plus
• Foundational proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong capacity for organization, multitasking, and analytical thinking
• Physical capability to stand for long durations and lift weights up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform repetitive physical motions like bending, reaching, and twisting
• Flexibility to accommodate weekend shifts and required overtime
