Job summary

Red Gold, Inc. in Indiana seeks a Filler/Seamer Operator to run the filler/seamer line, monitor quality attributes, and keep equipment running safely and efficiently.

You will perform start-up/shutdown, document downtime, inspect lids and codes, and cooperate with QA to maintain product integrity on a fast-paced can-manufacturing line.

Physical requirement: able to lift up to 80 pounds and work a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be able to understand and carry out instructions while performing manual labor related tasks.
• Must be able to successfully use basic math and writing skills necessary to complete paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate the filler/seamer at maximum efficiency.
• Understand greasing of the machine.
• Record downtime on reports and monitor shift efficiency.
• Verify correct temperature on filler bowl charts each hour.
• Inspect a sample can for defects and verify can codes.
• Maintain a clean work area and report any quality issues to supervision.
• Follow GMPs and safety rules; work as a team with the crew.
