CTDI in Haslet, TX is seeking a hands-on Electronics/Test Technician to install and maintain CATV head-end equipment and STB testing processes, on a 3rd shift schedule.

You will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to develop test procedures and support field branches while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with CATV head-end equipment and STB testing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Familiarity with CATV, DOCSIS, and RF formats.

Responsabilités

• Install and maintain CATV head-end equipment with the corporate team.
• Prepare test procedures for STB repair and clean and screen processes with engineering and Operations management.
• Support CTDI STB repair branches to optimize testing and repair workflows.
• Maintain mechanical equipment (conveyors, robots, motors, pneumatic devices, control devices, scanners, photo-eyes).
• Interface with customers on NPI work for new STB models.
• Analyze technical requirements and effort for test systems, products, STB repair, and cleaning processes.
• Generate documents including test procedures, schematics, flowcharts, and status reports.
• Support local branches on technical requirements and consult with other branches as required.

This individual will be involved with cutting-edge Cable TV (CATV) head-end equipment and set top box technology. This individual should be a high-energy, quick learner who enjoys a hands-on, fast-paced work environment.

3rd Shift: Sunday 8:15PM - 5:30AM, Monday - Thursday 11:45PM - 5:30AM

Responsibilities

• Work with our corporate team to install and maintain CATV head-end equipment.
• Work with our corporate engineering and Operations management team to prepare Test Procedures forSTB repair and clean and screen processes
• Work with CTDI STB repair branches to implement and support the tools and processes to optimize set top box testing and repair processes.
• Maintenance of mechanical equipment (conveyors, robots, motors, pneumatic devices, control devices, scanners, photo-eyes, etc.). Understand equipment operation and basic troubleshooting for equipment controls (PLC, WES, WCS).
• Interface directly with the customer concerning New Product Introduction (NPI) work on new STB models.
• Analyze technical requirements and effort associated with test systems, products,andSTB repair and clean and screen processes.
• Generate various documents, including test procedures, schematics, flowcharts, and project status reports.
• Support local branch on technical requirements and consult with other branches as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Understanding of analog, digital, and microprocessor circuits.
• Understanding of audio, video and CATV RF formats and circuits.
• Familiarity with Cable TV (CATV) and Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS) technology.
• Familiarity with IP networks and Linux a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
