Job summary

CTDI, a large-scale Engineering, Repair, and Logistics company, seeks a Test Engineer to support CATV head-end equipment and set-top box technology on first shift. Responsibilities include maintaining test systems, diagnosing issues, and documenting engineering processes.

The role requires 0–2 years in test engineering, basic electrical knowledge, and programming familiarity (C/C++, Python). Perks include weekly pay, benefits, and 401(k). This is an on-site position in Memphis, TN.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Bachelor's preferred.
• 0–2 years' experience in test engineering and production shop floor.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and electronics, plus test-system troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain test systems for testing consumer electronics on production line.
• Troubleshoot test systems and determine root causes; resolve issues.
• Analyze technical requirements and efforts for test systems and products.
• Create engineering documents: schematics, diagnostics, flowcharts, status reports.
• Configure and calibrate test systems; monitor tester performance.
• Report software bugs to development team; implement and upgrade software/hardware.

This individual will be involved with cutting-edge Cable TV (CATV) head-end equipment and set top box technology. This individual should be a high-energy, quick learner who enjoys a hands-on, fast-paced work environment.

1st Shift: 6:00AM - 2:40PM, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities:

• Support and Maintain Test Systems for Testing Consumer Electronicsin production line
• Troubleshoot test systems and find root cause of problems and resolve
• Analyze technical requirements and effort associatedwith test systems and products
• Generate engineering documents, including schematics, diagnostics, flowcharts, and project status reports
• Configure and Calibrate Test systems
• Monitor Performance of the tester and improve tester performance
• Report software bugs to development team
• Implement new software's into test systems and upgrade software and hardware as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of Electrical and Electronics
• 0-2years' experiencein Test Engineering and Production Shop floor experience
• Clear, discriminatory approach to solving engineering problems
• Basic knowledge of C, C#, C++, Python, JTAG, CLI or LINUX applications
• UnderstandingAndroid/iOSPhones Testingis a plus
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple tasks
• Ability to interact professionally with the customer in written and verbal communications

Required Experience

• Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field of Science (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Internship or project experience with test engineering
