Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Tech to support the Aurora facility on a 3rd shift/alternating schedule 7pm-7am. The role involves routine maintenance on the assembly floor and building systems, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

The technician will perform preventative maintenance, read drawings, and work with a team of facility personnel and contractors to ensure continuous operation and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school or technical school education.
• 3 years of factory related experience in a maintenance environment.
• Safety, lockout/tagout, HAZMAT, forklift safety, ESD awareness, FOD awareness, and quality system awareness.

Responsibilities

• Performs typical maintenance tasks to support the assembly floor and the facility as directed by the department manager.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager.
• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows safety regulations.
• Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as directed.
• Present a professional tone and image at all times to customers and vendors.
