Boys & Girls Haven is seeking a full-time Direct Care Professional to work within our Independent Living Program in Louisville, Kentucky. This role supports young adults as they develop the practical skills, confidence, and self-sufficiency needed to transition into adulthood.

In This Role, You Will: coach clients in budgeting, money management, meal planning, housekeeping, and time management; support educational, employment, and vocational goals; assist clients in accessing community

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Services preferred.
• Experience with at-risk adolescents or young adults preferred.
• Certification in SCM, CPR, and First Aid, or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.

Responsabilités

• Coach clients in budgeting, money management, meal planning, housekeeping, laundry, and time management.
• Support educational, employment, and vocational goals.
• Assist clients in accessing community resources and services.
• Provide guidance, accountability, and supervision while promoting increasing independence.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and support individual goals.
• Facilitate individual and group skill-building activities.
• Respond to emergencies and crisis situations appropriately.
• Utilize Safe Crisis Management (SCM) techniques as required.
• Transport clients to work, school, appointments, and approved activities.
• Complete documentation related to client progress, incidents, and program activities.
• Support apartment safety, cleanliness, and maintenance expectations.
