Description:

3rd Shift Custodian (12-month hourly employee)

Days of Work: Monday to Friday

Shift Hours: 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM

Job Summary:

• Responsible for cleaning assigned areas as directed by the Night Foreman.
• Replaces fluorescent and incandescent lamps in assigned areas.
• Maintains security in housekeeping areas.
• Prepares building set-ups for rentals, school activities, and continuing education.
• Assists with snow removal operations.
• Maintains Fixed Asset records, including additions, replacements, and disposals.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Third Shift Supervisor, Building and Grounds Manager, or Director of Purchasing & Facilities.

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with equipment used in maintenance of tile floors and carpets.
• Strong safety habits, skills, and insight in custodial work.
• Knowledge of all areas of housekeeping.
• Ability to understand instructions and perform tasks physically.

Working Conditions:

Supervised by the Foreman, Building and Grounds Manager, and Director of Purchasing & Facilities.

Terms of Employment:

Salary and benefits as per agreement between the Board of Education and District 211 Operations Maintenance Group.
