Job summary

Pro Resources Staffing Services partners with a local North Manchester, Indiana manufacturer to fill a 3rd Shift Compression Molding Operator role on a contract-to-hire basis. The plant produces automotive and industrial components using extrusion, lamination, and compression molding.

You will rotate through cells, operate the molding press or water jet, stage in-process and finished goods, and assist with changeovers, start‑up and shut‑down.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail; read and follow instructions.
• Solid work history with good attendance; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Forklift experience a plus.
• Able to work at a steady, fast pace and stay flexible.
• Willing to rotate through all positions in the cell and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Work across compression molding cells to meet production schedules.
• Train as backup for shift set-up and cover time off.
• Operate the molding press or water jet.
• Stage in-process and finished goods, and move material between cells.
• Assist with changeovers, start-up, and shut-down.
• Remove scrap from the cell.
• Perform quality inspections and complete production paperwork.
• Help meet productivity and waste targets.

3rd Shift Compression Molding Operator

A locally owned manufacturer in North Manchester, Indiana, that has been producing automotive and industrial components since the mid-1980s. They use extrusion coating, lamination, and compression molding to turn paper, fiber, and foam materials into finished parts for its customers. Pro Resources has partnered with them to find flexible, fast-learning Utility Operators who can work across every cell in its Compression Molding department. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, giving you a direct path to a permanent role with a growing local employer.

Hours

3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Will train on 1st Shift for 2 to 3 weeks maybe longer) Some weekend work is mandatory, and overtime is required as demand calls for it.

Pay

3rd Shift: $18.01 per hour

Job Duties

• Work as part of a cross-functional team in all compression molding cells to meet production schedules.


• Train as the backup to the 2nd or 3rd shift set-up person and cover time off.


• Operate the molding press or water jet.


• Stage in-process and finished goods, and transport material to and from each cell.


• Help with changeovers, start-up, and shut-down.


• Remove offal and scrap from the cell.


• Perform quality inspections and complete production paperwork.


• Help the cells meet or exceed productivity and waste targets.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail; organized and able to read and follow instructions.


• Solid work history and good attendance; previous cell or manufacturing experience preferred.


• Forklift experience a plus.


• Able to work at a steady, fast pace, learn quickly, and stay flexible, quality-minded, and safe.


• Able to lift or push 10+ lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. occasionally.


• Available for demand overtime and required weekend work.


• Willing to rotate through and perform all positions and tasks in the cell.


• Comfortable standing and walking about 95% of the shift in a plant ranging from 55°F to 100°F (warmer near the oven), with noise up to 94 dB.


• Must wear safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses; hard hat required during crane operation.
