Job summary

GE Aerospace in Wilmington, NC is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to set up and operate multi-axis CNC machines, read blueprints, and ensure precise tolerances on precision components. You will perform in-process inspections with calipers, micrometers, and CMMs, adjust offsets, change tools, and troubleshoot to maintain quality and productivity on 2nd or 3rd shifts.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years CNC operating and setup experience.
• Proficient reading blueprints and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to fabricate parts per drawings and specs.
• Read blueprints, GD&T, and technical documents for accurate part production.
• Perform in-process inspections with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs.
• Adjust offsets, change tools, and troubleshoot minor machine issues.
• Monitor machine operation for abnormal sounds or vibrations and take corrective action.
• Handle loading/unloading of materials and parts; maintain clean, safe workspace.
• Complete production paperwork accurately and timely; collaborate with teams to resolve issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs and training.
