Volt in San Diego (Miramar Area) is seeking a 3rd shift CNC Lathe Machine Operator to join a direct-hire team. You will load materials, set up and adjust machines, monitor performance, and perform routine start-ups and changeovers.

You will inspect parts, document metrics, and help drive continuous improvement in throughput and quality. The role requires hands-on experience with CNC or similar production machinery, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read work orders and schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC, automated, semi-automated production machinery.
• Ability to read work orders and production schedules, and basic manufacturing docs.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills for equipment issues.

Responsabilités

• Operate production machinery and equipment per procedures and schedules.
• Set up machines for runs, loading materials and adjusting settings as needed.
• Monitor performance for quality and efficiency.
• Start up, shut down and changeover activities as required.
• Identify and fix minor jams or interruptions to minimize downtime.
• Conduct in-process inspections and verify parts meet specs.
• Measure finished parts with gauges and visual checks.
• Record output, scrap and downtime accurately.
• Replenish materials to maintain continuous production.
• Maintain cleanliness and perform basic preventive maintenance.
• Communicate issues and needs to supervisors and leadership.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
