Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC machining and setup experience in a job shop or high-volume environment.
• Strong understanding of blueprints, tolerances, and advanced machining math.
• Experience with CNC programming codes and performing complex set ups.
• Ability to interpret written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of feeds, speeds, tooling, and true position tolerancing.
• Experience setting up or operating Haas CNC lathes.
• Exposure to hands-on machining demonstrations during interviews or training.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC lathes/mills, align tooling, establish offsets, and prepare equipment for production.
• Review and verify CNC programs, adjust for quality machining.
• Perform first piece and in-process inspections using precision tools.
• Maintain documentation and ISO 9000 standards.
• Collaborate with supervisor during technical discussions and demonstrations.
• Troubleshoot machining issues, perform basic maintenance, keep areas clean.
• Assist with deburring, minor rework, and assembly; train junior machinists.
