Job summary

Franklin International in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a Reactor Operator to run equipment that processes chemicals into industrial products. You will monitor temperatures, pressures and flows to keep production safe and efficient on a 3rd shift.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, 18+ years, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, with chemical processing experience preferred. PPE and union membership after 30 days are required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.
• Chemical processing experience is strongly preferred.
• Must be able to wear required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Tends to equipment or systems that process chemical substances into industrial products.
• Dumps specified amounts of solid materials into heating vessels or blending tanks.
• Turns valves to feed liquid and gaseous materials through equipment units.
• Maintains system at specified temperature, pressure, and vacuum levels.
• Observes chemical reactions; monitors gauges, signals, and recorders; and receives notification to make operating adjustments.
• Draws samples of products for laboratory analysis.
• Maintains log of gauge readings and shift production.
