Summary
The Caregiver provides personal care and incidental Activities of Daily Living to RCAC, CBRF and/or Memory Care residents of Capri Communities LLC, with adherence to organizational and regulatory requirements.
Essential Responsibilities
- Adheres to the written Resident Care Plan to assist residents in maintaining their independence with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and nutritional needs. Also provides assistance with preparing meals, laundry, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
- Assist residents with mobility and transfers.
- Assist residents with medical administration and maintain related reporting requirements.
- Perform delegated tasks as instructed by the RN, Nurse Manager, or other supervisors.
- Perform acceptable healthcare practices.
- Assist with housekeeping duties in resident or common areas.
- Lead or assist with activities for residents as directed.
- Observe and report resident's condition and safety hazards promptly.
- Document observations and activities accurately and timely.
- Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Organize shift duties effectively to promote residents' well-being.
- Protect residents' health information according to HIPAA and other regulations.
- Maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
- Stay informed of State Regulations and updates relevant to the role.
- Attend mandatory meetings and training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma preferred; not required.
- Six months of experience as a caregiver or similar.
- Completion of CNA or CBRF certification preferred.
- Reliability and flexibility in scheduling, including holidays and weekends.
- Patience, understanding, and emotional resilience.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements and safety standards.
- Ability to provide high-quality resident care and maintain safety standards.
- Compliance with training requirements and regulations.
