The Caregiver provides personal care and incidental Activities of Daily Living to RCAC, CBRF, and Memory Care residents of Capri Communities LLC, adhering to organizational and regulatory requirements.
Essential Responsibilities
- Follow the Resident Care Plan to assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and nutrition. Assist with meal prep, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment.
- Support residents with mobility and transfers.
- Administer medication and maintain related documentation.
- Perform delegated tasks as instructed by supervisory staff.
- Maintain healthcare standards and practices.
- Assist with housekeeping duties in resident and common areas.
- Lead or assist with resident activities, scheduled and impromptu.
- Observe and report on resident conditions and safety hazards promptly.
- Accurately document observations and activities.
- Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Organize shift duties to promote residents' emotional well-being.
- Protect residents' health information according to HIPAA and legal requirements.
- Present a professional appearance and attitude.
- Stay informed on State Regulations and updates for DHS 83 and 89.
- Attend mandatory meetings and training.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred; not required.
- At least six months experience as a personal aide, Caregiver, or equivalent.
- Completion of CNA or CBRF certification preferred.
- Reliable and flexible scheduling, including holidays and weekends.
- Patience, understanding, and physical/emotional ability to meet residents' needs.
- Knowledge of and compliance with building regulations, DHS requirements, OSHA, and fair housing standards.
- Commitment to high-quality resident care and safety standards.
