Job summary

Five Star Breaktime Solutions is looking for a friendly, dependable Café Associate to join our Dining Services team in Athens, GA. You will prepare and serve food items, maintain cleanliness, and provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced setting.

The role supports catering events on and off premises and requires ability to lift 50 pounds, with potential for growth in a fun, team-oriented environment. Benefits include vacation, holidays, health plans, and retirement savings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/ GED and 1 year food service experience.
• Must consent to a drug screen and pre-employment background check.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide food prep, cooking, delivery, setup, serving, breakdown and cleaning for Catering Events both on and off premises.
• Responsible for preparing hot and cold items for service according to established recipes and standards.
• Complies with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures.
• Samples, smells, and observe food to ensure conformance to recipes and standards of appearance and taste.
• Maintains a sanitary workstation, including sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing.
• Selects and uses knives, hand tools, utensils, and equipment to portion, cut, slice, mash, puree, whip, beat, roll, stuff, maintain holding temperature, cook or otherwise produce food in the assigned station.
• Assists during service.
• Put-up truck orders and stock deliveries.
• Remove the trash as needed.
• Performs cashier duties as needed, including restocking coolers, condiments, etc.
