Job summary

Five Star Breaktime Solutions is seeking a friendly Café Associate to join our Dining Services team in Live Oak, FL. You will help prepare and serve food, maintain cleanliness, and deliver great guest service in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include food prep, setting up catering events, following recipes, maintaining safety and sanitation, and supporting truck orders and deliveries. Previous food service or customer service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and 1 year food service experience.
• Must consent to a drug screen and pre-employment background check.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide food prep, cooking, delivery, set up, serving, breakdown and cleaning for Catering Events both on and off premises.
• Prepare hot and cold items for service according to established recipes and standards.
• Comply with portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures.
• Sample, smells, and observe food to ensure conformance to recipes and standards of appearance and taste.
• Maintain a sanitary workstation, including sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing.
• Selects and uses knives, hand tools, utensils, and equipment to portion, cut, slice, mash, puree, whip, beat, roll, stuff, maintain holding temperature, cook or otherwise produce food in the assigned station.
• Put-up truck orders and stock deliveries.
• Remove the trash as needed.

Key Responsibilities
