Job summary

ThyssenKrupp Materials NA, Inc. in Santa Teresa, NM is seeking a skilled brake-press operator to apply metal to customer orders and precisely process material per work orders using hydraulic brake press equipment.

On the 3rd shift, pay $20-$22 with a $0.75 shift premium. Responsibilities include setting up punches and dies, creating bending programs from blueprints, performing first-off and in-process inspections, and maintaining equipment and work area while documenting all data accurately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years brake press operation experience.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret instructions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure quality output.
• Familiarity with first-off and in-process inspections.
• Safety-minded in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydraulic brake press and enter programs from blueprints.
• Set up equipment with punches and dies.
• Create bending programs using blueprint details.
• Perform first-off and in-process inspections.
• Use calipers and tape measures to verify dimensions.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning.
• Report equipment issues to supervisor.
