Job summary

Newly Weds Foods is seeking a packaging handler to support production lines by supplying materials and ready-to-package product to the packaging area and finished goods to the warehouse.

Responsibilities include forklift operation, palletizing, loading, and assisting in line packing, with a strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and inventory control. This role requires lifting up to 80 lbs, standing long hours, and willingness to work 12-hour shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months’ experience in a food production environment.
• Able to lift up to 80 lbs and stand continuously.
• Typing to operate a computer and enter reports.
• Mathematical and problem-solving skills to perform the job.
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move product between blending, packaging, and warehouse.
• Supply empty pallets and materials to packing lines to keep them running.
• Assist in stacking at end of line and load boxes onto pallets.
• Help with dumping products at deck and other packing duties as needed.
• Complete paperwork and maintain raw material integrity.
• Assist in inventory and cycle counts; keep work area clean.
• Follow LOTO procedures during cleaning and sanitation; perform other duties as assigned.
