Job summary

New Weds Foods in Chicago, IL is seeking a packaging/production associate to support materials flow to packaging lines and finished goods to the warehouse.

You will operate a forklift, supply pallets and materials, and assist with stacking, dumping, and packing. The role requires lifting up to 80 lbs, standing most of the day, and willingness to work 12-hour shifts including weekends. Safety and accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ months’ experience in a food production/manufacturing environment.
• Constant standing, lifting, and moving products most of the day.
• Ability to type to operate a computer to enter and run reports.
• Mathematical and problem-solving skills to successfully perform the job.
• Must not have an aversion to heights.
• Willing to work 12 hours shift and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate Forklift to move product from Blending to Packaging and from Packaging to Warehouse.
• Supply empty pallets and materials to pack lines as needed to keep packing lines operating.
• Assist in stacking at the end of the line by loading boxes/bags onto a pallet.
• Assist in dumping of product at deck as needed.
• Assist as packer operator as needed.
• Complete paperwork as needed.
• Maintain integrity of raw materials.
• Assist in inventory and cycle counts.
• Keep area and equipment clean; follow LOTO procedures when cleaning equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
