Job summary

Odyssey Behavioral Group in Sevierville, TN is seeking an Entry level Behavioral Health Technician to support clients and maintain a therapeutic milieu. You will assist with daily activities, monitor safety, document observations, and collaborate with clinical staff.

Requires High School or equivalent; prior experience in behavioral healthcare preferred. This full-time role includes shift work (3rd shift) and opportunities to grow within a compassionate team dedicated to client well-being.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mental health and/or substance use disorders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing facility routines.

Responsibilities

• Ensures client rounding and safety checks according to clinical criteria.
• Engages clients in therapeutic activities within the milieu and group settings.
• Prompts clients to complete ADLs and maintains room hygiene checks.
• Coordinates meals and supervises mealtimes as appropriate.
• Documents services, incident reports, and shift reports promptly.
• Communicates safety risks and coordinates healthcare visits with nursing.
• Maintains inventory and organizes office materials for staff use.
• Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment and supports medication compliance.
