Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. in Wapakoneta, OH is looking for an Assistant Machine Operator for the 3rd shift. You will support the press operation, assist with setup, operation, cleanup, and help implement improvements to maximize productivity.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred experience in the corrugated industry. Starting pay is $18.98/hour plus shift differential, with potential raises in the first year and career growth opportunities, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: prior experience in the corrugated industry.
• 6 months’ experience as a Flexo or DieCut Helper.
• 6 months’ experience in the Press and Finishing Departments.

Responsibilities

• Set up slotting, feed, and die-cut sections on the machine according to proper setup techniques.
• Assist the operator with other duties as needed.
• Monitor board quality and report any quality issues to the operator.
• Sort as necessary to maintain machine productivity.
• Be open to moving up the line of progression to operator.
• Submit maintenance work orders and be proactive about equipment maintenance.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
