Job summary

Nemco is seeking an assembler to join our team in Ohio. This role requires reading blueprints and assembly using hand tools while setting up machinery and performing quality checks on multiple product lines.

You will contribute to a safe, organized work area and collaborate with a small team under Lean practices. The position is a third-shift role with initial training on first shift, followed by shift rotation to meet productivity and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints and following written instructions/procedures.
• Ability to operate hand tools and machine tools to assemble parts.
• Perform quality checks to ensure standards are met.
• Knowledge of Lean principles and 5S housekeeping.
• Ability to train others and contribute to team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and follow specific written instructions and procedures.
• Position or align components and parts manually or with hand tools.
• Use hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
• Conduct quality control checks.
• Clean and maintain work area, tools, and other equipment.
• Set up and operate machinery.
• Use measuring tools.
• Learn multiple product lines and their assemblies.
• Create good teamwork through proper leadership techniques.
• Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process.
• Understanding cycle time and line balancing concepts.
• Ensure safety, quality and productivity standards are met.
• Maintain compliance with standardized work.
• Observe control points and equipment; make adjustments as needed.
• Practice good 5S and housekeeping.
• Apply Lean principles.
• Other duties as assigned.
