Job summary

Alliance Laundry System LLC is seeking a 3rd Shift Assembly Supervisor in Ripon, WI. The role leads the assembly team for top-load washers, with hours 7:00pm–5:00am, Sunday–Wednesday and potential overtime on Fridays.

You will drive daily production, safety, and quality while coaching team members and coordinating with a union environment. You will promote continuous improvement, mentor staff, and manage performance to meet operating metrics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years in a medium/high volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience with mechanical and hydraulic press operations and die set-up is beneficial.
• Previous assembly line supervision is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production activities to meet scheduled requirements.
• Foster continuous improvement and lean initiatives within the team.
• Ensure safety, quality, equipment operation and 5S training.
• Interface with Union Stewards on contract and discipline issues.
• Be the first point of contact for employee relations matters.
• Set annual goals aligned with operating metrics.

Overview

As a Production Supervisor in Top Load Washer, you will be the first line leader to support team members within your area/zone. You will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities in order to maintain scheduled production requirements and to ensure your team is successful.

The hours for this position is 7:00pm-5:00am, Sunday-Wednesday with the potential of overtime on Fridays.

Responsibilities

• Desires to eliminate waste and to develop team member skill to improve lean operations
• Ensure that employees are properly trained by their Team Leader or other designated trainer in the areas of safety, quality, equipment operation and 5S
• Interface with technical staff to ensure proper support
• Establish annual goals and objectives that support the attainment of operating metrics
• Work to continuously improve processes and reduce inventories and work in progress
• Serve as the first point of contact for employees regarding employee relations issues
• Interface with Union Stewards in contract and discipline issues
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience:

• Proven history of ability to lead with a servant leadership mindset.
• A minimum of one to three years of experience in a medium/high volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Experience with mechanical and hydraulic press operations, as well as a basic understanding of die set-up and maintenance would be beneficial.
• Previous Assembly line supervision experience would be preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

• Must be self-driven and ambitious with proven leadership capabilities, including providing coaching, mentoring and supervision within a team environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel).
• Strong problem solving skills, including encouraging others on your team to think proactively and create solutions.
• Basic understanding of process control, production scheduling, Kaizen, Kanban and Lean manufacturing is preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering or Operations is preferred.
• Previous professional, internship or co-op experience will be taken into consideration as relevant experience.

Physical Requirements

• Position involves sitting long periods, standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending and minimal lifting.
