Job summary

Sylvania is seeking an Elementary Teacher (K-6) as a long-term substitute from mid-September through early January. The teacher will provide differentiated instruction, use a variety of assessments, and create an environment conducive to learning, reporting to the Building Principal.

The ideal candidate holds an Illinois Professional Educator License or appropriate license, has experience in diverse classrooms, can collaborate with teammates, and is prepared to support families and staff.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Illinois Professional Educator License or other required license.

• Ability to work as a team member.
• Past teaching experience in the specific class preferred; recent coursework or student teaching considered.
• Foreign language ability is preferred.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Provide differentiated instruction with a variety of assessments in an environment conducive to learning

QUALIFICATIONS:

• This position requires a Self Contained General Education K-9 or Self Contained Birth-Grade3 Endorsement
• A completed/submitted online application to include resumé and letters of recommendation as required on the online application
• Ability to work as a team member
• Must hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License or other License as required
• Past experience teaching the specific class will be considered first; recent coursework or student teaching in the subject will also be considered
• The ability to speak a foreign language is preferred
