Job summary

Sylvania seeks a Long Term Substitute Elementary Teacher (K-6) for mid-September through early January. The position reports to the Building Principal within a 10-month certified framework.

The candidate will provide differentiated instruction, assess student progress, and collaborate with staff to maintain a positive learning environment. A valid Illinois Educator License with the appropriate endorsement is required.

Qualifications

• Requires IL Professional Educator License (PEL) or equivalent.

• Past teaching experience in the specific class/age group preferred.
• Foreign language ability is a plus.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Provide differentiated instruction with a variety of assessments in an environment conducive to learning

QUALIFICATIONS:

• This position requires a Self Contained General Education K-9 or Self Contained Birth-Grade3 Endorsement
• A completed/submitted online application to include resumé and letters of recommendation as required on the online application
• Ability to work as a team member
• Must hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License or other License as required
• Past experience teaching the specific class will be considered first; recent coursework or student teaching in the subject will also be considered
• The ability to speak a foreign language is preferred
