Qualifications

• Hold or be eligible to hold a State of NJ Certification: 1001 Elementary School Teacher in Grades K - 6
• Strong background in Balanced Literacy, NJSLS, I-Ready, and Differentiated Instruction
• Ability to work with a diverse population, including ELL students
• Successful completion of fingerprinting and criminal history review

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a variety of rich instructional experiences to enhance student achievement
• Collaborate with grade level teams, specialists, administrators, and families to support student success
• Maintain accurate student records and communicate progress and instructional needs
• Use formative and summative assessment data to monitor progress and adjust instruction
• Differentiate instruction and provide appropriate scaffolds, enrichment, and intervention
• Create a positive, inclusive, student-centered classroom environment
• Engage in curricular planning and implementation
• Integrate literacy across content areas and foster critical thinking and communication
• Follow district and school policies, regulations and rules
