Qualifications

• TWIC Card required.
• MMC (USCG) required.
• Endorsement as 3rd Assistant Engineer of Motor Propelled Vessels Unlimited HP.
• Unexpired US Passport or Enhanced Driver's License with Canada entry allowed.
• Legally authorized to work in the US.
• Excellent communication and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation, monitoring, and maintenance of propulsion, auxiliary, and mechanical systems.
• Perform routine engine room inspections and report deficiencies to senior engineers.
• Assist with preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of vessel machinery.
• Maintain engineering logs, maintenance records, and equipment documentation.
• Support fuel transfers, lubrication programs, and inventory management.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in engine room and machinery spaces.
• Participate in emergency drills and respond to vessel emergencies as assigned.
• Follow safety policies, environmental regulations, and operating procedures.
• Assist with drydock projects, equipment overhauls, and regulatory inspections.
• Perform other duties to support safe and efficient vessel operations.
