Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• New York State teaching certification a plus
• Experience with toddlers or preschoolers in a lead teacher role
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for 3K
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with children and families
• Patience, creativity, and passion for early childhood education
• Must meet NYC DOE and ACS background check and clearance requirements

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate, play-based 3K curriculum aligned with NYS standards
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration
• Monitor and document student progress and milestones
• Communicate regularly with families about growth and activities
• Collaborate with assistant teachers and staff to maintain a nurturing routine
• Facilitate social-emotional learning and conflict resolution
• Maintain classroom materials and a clean, organized space
