Little Scholars in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a 3K/Pre-K Lead Teacher for Ditmas Park. You will implement progressive curricula based on Creative Curriculum and HighScope, ensuring high-quality early childhood education.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, with 1 year of teaching experience and strong communication with children and parents. On-site, full-time position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related fields (12 CORE ECE Units).
• At least 1 year of teaching experience at a licensed daycare/public school.
• Familiarity with the Exploration Curriculum & Units of Study.
• Ability to develop activities that are fun and educational for young children.
• Ability to instruct young children on rules of conduct and to learn new tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children and parents.
• Proficient active listening to understand various needs.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe environment where children will play and learn with pleasure.
• Cooperate closely with parents to provide the best care and education.
• Implement the curriculum tailored to individual needs of each child.
• Prepare lesson plans, programs, and timetables balancing academics and needs.
• Provide support for children with social, academic, or adaptational challenges.
• Maintain documentation and complete required academy and classroom paperwork.
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings and report academic progress.
• Supervise children during all activities and ensure safety.
