Job summary

gpac is seeking an experienced 3G MIG & TIG Welder to join its team on the 2nd shift. You will weld MIG, TIG, Flux-Core and Stick on steel, stainless steel and aluminum, read blueprints, and set up materials in a modern, high-mix manufacturing environment in Schaumburg, IL.

Candidates must have at least 3 years MIG and 3 years TIG experience, be able to pass a 3G weld test, and read drawings. This role offers growth, safety-focused culture, and opportunities across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a 3G weld test.
• Minimum 3 years of MIG welding experience.
• Minimum 3 years of TIG welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, Flux-Core, and Stick welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions.
• Measure, mark, and prepare materials for fabrication and assembly.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and specification requirements are met.
• Perform fabrication and sheet metal work as required.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.
• Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure project success.
