Job summary

The Bot Company in San Francisco is seeking a 3D Vision Researcher/Engineer to design and build perception systems for our home robots. You will merge classical geometry with modern deep learning and ship production‑quality code with a small elite team.

Candidate should be strong in Python/C++, PyTorch, CUDA, and sensor fusion, with domain expertise in two key areas. Join us to move fast and own impactful work.

Qualifications

• Strong coding in Python and/or C++.
• Experience with PyTorch and CUDA, incl. custom operators.
• Experience building 3D vision systems from scratch.
• Understanding of sensor modalities including calibration and synchronization.
• Expertise in two of: multi-view geometry, dense 3D reconstruction, depth estimation/flow.

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end 3D perception systems for real-world robotic environments.
• Develop geometric vision pipelines—SLAM, reconstruction, tracking—and integrate with learned models.
• Implement and optimize deep learning models for depth, flow, and 3D understanding.
• Prototype rapidly, measure performance in realistic conditions, and iterate to production‑quality solutions.
• Collaborate with robotics, simulation, and platform teams to integrate 3D perception into the full stack.
• Move quickly and independently to solve hard 3D vision and geometry problems.
