Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. in New York, NY is seeking a 3D Technical Designer for Children's Apparel to maintain quality and fit across our brand portfolio. The role partners with Design and Production to ensure consistent construction and size grading.

Responsibilities include creating spec packages, leading fit sessions, communicating construction details to vendors, and ensuring compliance with children’s safety requirements. Proficiency with Browzwear 3D software and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in children’s wear.
• Experience with Browzwear 3D software or similar.
• Familiar with measuring sample points to ensure tolerance of required specifications.
• Strong knowledge of knit and woven garment construction.
• Knowledge of patternmaking, sewing terminology and garment construction.
• Have understanding of garment manufacturing and product development process.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Word; knowledge of Illustrator a plus.
• Must be willing to work in the office 5 days/week.

An established Wholesale Manufacturer of branded and licensed children's apparel in NYC is looking to fill a Technical Design position. The Technical Designer is responsible for developing and maintaining a consistent level of quality and fit for Children's Apparel.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with Design and Production teams to establish and maintain fit and construction standards to ensure brand consistency and quality
• Create spec packages for each style including correct grade rules and non-standard construction details
