Job summary

LeoForce in Plano, TX is seeking a Structural Designer II to develop 3D models and fabrication drawings for heavy industrial equipment and high-temperature ducting systems. The role entails collaborating with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams to deliver precision designs.

The candidate should have 3–5 years of industrial drafting/design experience, strong 3D modeling skills, and experience with fabrication-ready drawings. Travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in CAD/Drafting/Engineering Technology or related field.
• 3–5 years of industrial structural or mechanical design experience.
• Experience designing industrial ductwork or plate structures in heavy industry.
• Strong 3D modeling skills and fabrication-ready drawings.
• Ability to perform geometric and material calculations accurately.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D CAD models and fabrication drawings for heavy industrial equipment.
• Design hot exhaust and ducting components including casings and platework.
• Develop drawings for customer review, procurement, and fabrication.
• Incorporate thermal expansion, temperatures, and mechanical loading with guidance.
• Coordinate ducting layouts with equipment like SCR reactors, baghouses, ESPs, and joints.
• Review specs, identify missing info and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform lengths, areas, volumes, weights, and angles calculations.
• Revise models per engineering reviews and fabrication feedback.
• Collaborate with Engineering, PM, Sales and fabrication teams.
• Maintain drawings, revisions, and project files per document-control procedures.
