Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a 3D Structural Designer for its Data Center Mission Critical Group, based in a U.S. office. You will create/modify detailed drawings, perform site walkdowns, and collaborate with engineers using REVIT, AutoCAD, NAVISWORKS, ACC/BIM 360, and Dynamo.

The role includes mentoring junior designers, ensuring high-quality drawings, and coordinating across disciplines with strong emphasis on safety and efficiency. Travel 10–15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 1+ year of design engineering experience (or similar).
• Associates Degree in related field with 6+ years of design engineering experience.
• 8+ years of design engineering experience acceptable in lieu of degrees.
• Proficient with 2D and 3D design software (REVIT, AutoCAD, NAVISWORKS).
• Experience with structural concrete and steel modeling; BIM coordination in multidisciplinary environments.

Responsibilities

• Design & Drafting: create/modify detailed drawings using Plant 3D; piping isometrics; P&ID; pipe/conduit support drawings.
• Site Work: perform client site walkdowns and generate walkdown reports.
• Quality Control: self-checks and peer reviews; mentoring junior designers.
• Collaboration: coordinate with engineers and other designers; clear internal communications.
• Compliance: follow safety policies and project procedures; meet time goals.
