Responsibilities
- Perform 3D imaging reconstruction and special 3D cardiac exams on various workstations.
- Assist physicians and surgeons with surgical planning using 3D services.
- Develop and maintain marketing programs to promote 3D imaging services, including outreach to referring physicians.
- Supervise day-to-day operations related to 3D imaging in CT/MRI suites, research, and surgical planning.
- Operate diagnostic and post-processing 3D/Cardiac equipment, performing a variety of imaging procedures.
- Ensure patient preparation, orientation, and education before, during, and after tests.
- Review physician requests for diagnostic tests to verify appropriateness.
- Collaborate with management to optimize protocols for 3D imaging techniques.
- Work with physicians and surgeons to meet patient care needs through 3D imaging.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and maintain image quality; contact service reps as needed.
- Manage quality assurance (QA) for 3D imaging.
- Verify and optimize 3D procedures with physicians, providing quantitative data analysis.
- Prepare monthly reports on 3D services and submit to management.
- Market 3D services to referring providers within the health system.
- Assist in preparing cases for presentations and publications.
- Train imaging staff in 3D techniques to ensure quality and standardization.
- Provide leadership in the absence of management.
Qualifications
Education and Licensure
- Associate's degree (required)
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R); current registration required
- Certified by the State of Texas – MRT; current certification required
- BLS certification (required)
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of radiologic technologist experience (required)
