We are seeking a Radiology Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will perform specialized radiographic procedures at the request of licensed practitioners for interpretation by radiologists. You will combine scientific knowledge, technical skills, patient interaction, and compassionate care to deliver accurate diagnostic information. Think you have what it takes?

Qualifications:

  • Technical diploma from a formal diagnostic radiology program
  • R-ARRT and CMRT certification
  • At least 3 years of radiology experience

Responsibilities:

  • Check and restock rooms daily, updating supply lists as needed
  • Confirm patient identity and prepare patients for procedures
  • Verify pregnancy status and informed consent
  • Assess contraindications for procedures
  • Select appropriate contrast agents based on patient status
  • Communicate procedure details clearly to patients and families
  • Stay updated on equipment, materials, medications, and procedures
  • Perform routine and complex procedures independently, demonstrating anatomy and pathology skills
  • Serve as an educational resource to colleagues
  • Apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure
  • Document fluoroscopic time, radiation exposure, incidents, and patient concerns
  • Ensure patient safety during procedures
  • Report equipment issues promptly
  • Collaborate with radiologists and physicists on image quality issues
  • Maintain effective communication with team members

All successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in accordance with occupational health and safety standards.
