Job summary

Helen of Troy in New York, NY is seeking an Engineering Technician (OXO) to support our Engineering – OXO team on site. You will perform maintenance on 3D printing equipment, troubleshoot issues with suppliers, and participate in product testing across development stages.

You will design fixtures, document test results with reports, photos, and videos, maintain labs, and ensure a safe, organized workspace while coordinating inventory for supplies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience in a product testing, engineering lab, or similar technical environment.
• Experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo.
• Experience performing mechanical testing, collecting data, and documenting results.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance on all 3D printing equipment (and sometimes other lab equipment).
• Troubleshoot and repair 3D printer related issues with the machine supplier.
• Administer testing of products, components, and subsystems per development test plans.
• Generate comprehensive test documentation, including written reports, data tables, photos, and videos.
• Design and build custom test fixtures, rigs, and equipment to support product evaluation.
• Communicate testing results, observations, and unexpected findings to product engineering teams.
• Maintain engineering labs, tools, equipment, and workspaces to ensure a safe, organized testing environment.
• Monitor inventory levels of lab supplies, tools, and components and coordinate replenishment as needed.
