Job summary

Helen of Troy is seeking an Engineering Technician, OXO, based in New York City. The role requires maintaining 3D printing equipment and lab tools, troubleshooting printer issues, and administering product and subsystem testing across development stages.

The candidate will generate comprehensive test docs, craft fixtures, and communicate findings to cross-functional teams, ensuring a safe, organized lab environment and active inventory management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years in product testing, engineering lab, or similar tech environment.
• Experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo.
• Experience performing mechanical testing and data documentation.
• Hands-on experience with shop tools and power tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance on 3D printing equipment and lab equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair 3D printer issues and coordinate with suppliers.
• Test products, components, and subsystems per development plans.
• Conduct large-sample validation testing before production launches.
• Generate test documentation including reports, data tables, photos, and videos.
• Design and build custom test fixtures to support evaluation.
• Communicate results to product engineering teams in a timely manner.
• Maintain labs, tools, equipment, and workspace for safety and efficiency.
• Monitor inventory levels of lab supplies and coordinate replenishment.
