Job summary

Formlabs is seeking a Production Equipment Maintenance Technician in Billerica, MA to diagnose, repair, and maintain Formlabs 3D printers and related equipment. The role involves rapid-response hardware troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and ensuring a clean, organized factory floor with strong safety practices.

You will own inventory management, document repair actions, and collaborate with operators and leadership to minimize downtime and maximize throughput.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical or electrical proficiency with electronics, robotics, or 3D printers.
• Able to read technical documents, schematics, or assembly guides.
• Good problem-solver with rapid-response mindset.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical issues on 3D printers and support equipment.
• Rapidly respond to hardware faults on the production floor to minimize downtime and maintain throughput targets.
• Execute routine preventative maintenance (PM) schedules and calibration cycles.
• Manage hardware inventory, track spare parts usage, and restock production stations with critical consumables.
• Maintain a highly organized, clean, and safe factory environment using workplace organization standards.
• Document maintenance logs, repair actions, and component failures accurately.
• Collaborate with production operators and communicate equipment status clearly to operations leadership.
