Job summary

Stantec is actively seeking a Process Piping Designer with 5+ years of piping design experience. The role focuses on generating P&IDs, creating 3D models of equipment and piping systems, and producing detailed isometric drawings from the 3D model.

You will integrate 2D and 3D markups into Revit or AutoCAD platforms, collaborate with multiple trades, and contribute to the development of smart P&IDs and related lists.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education from a recognized technical college as an Engineering Technologist or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of experience in design of piping systems preferred.
• Experience with 3D environment and Autodesk products (Revit/AutoCAD/Plant 3D).

Responsibilities

• Develop process piping designs in a 3D CAD environment and coordinate with other trades.
• Stay abreast of new design technologies and integrate them into workflows.
• Develop 2D/3D piping plans from P&IDs and create P&ID content.
• Model equipment and piping systems; develop 3D renderings and isometrics.
• Perform clash detection and coordination with mechanical, electrical, and architectural disciplines.
